Currently, pride, vanity, power, pride and arrogance
always seem to overlap in human relations.
But why is it so difficult to find people who have
humility in their main features?
Some of sheer ignorance consider the humble as being
less worthy, less potential, less capable than others. Make fun of them as if
they were dealing with worthless beings.
In fact, people with no self esteem do not respect
anybody. Only extend to others the way they were treated in most of their lives.
Basically, feel they are not worthy of love and thus become unable to relate to
others.
The arrogant person, proud, not conquered the humility
that is based on simplicity. Always have to show their arrogance, disregard for
others, as it believes that this is the path that will ensure recognition.
Despise the other, makes his sick mind to believe that it is better, ie
greater.
Our society, unfortunately, associated with humility
inferiority, weakness, submission and even poverty. When in fact, it is related
to the distinction, respect and kindness. For who is fully aware of his
personal value does not need to exalt, to show to others, not even compare.
Need not reduce anyone to be able to rise.
Humble people treat others as beings worthy of respect
because they have the ability to put themselves in the place of others in their
suffering. Humility is a noble virtue that is hidden in the deepest recesses of
the human heart.
We met a wise man by the humility with which he
reveals his knowledge and not by what appears to know.
The fear of the Lord teaches wisdom, and humility before honor. (Proverbs 15:33)

Humility is very important... not the easiest thing to attain. It definitely means you should always put yourself in others places and try to be understanding ;-)
ResponderExcluirIndeed Launna, humility is very rare in such a competitive society, but we should strive to achieve it. :)
